This CAN’T be good
There you are minding your own business and doing some laundry when you decided to go visit the head. YIKES!
This was nearly a disaster but certainly a tough way to find out that the washing machines drains into the black tank!

Couldn’t you just say the shitter over flowed without a picture.

Luckily! it did not overflow. We were just an inch or so from disaster. I thought the picture was funny but would be happy to remove it.
The Washer Jeff installed uses 20 gallons of water per wash so I bless my lucky stars that this did not go as badly as it could have.

So does country coach only have 1 tank like Liberty? I wouldn’t think If there was a black and a gray tank it was plumbed to black that should not be.

One thing I do like about the Liberty is that there is a voice warning if the fresh water tank is getting low and if the holding tank is getting full…. (this can be turned off).
Something to the effect:
“Potable water tank is getting low”
“Holding tank is reaching full”
It’s a ladies voice…. we’ve bonded. LOL!

Originally, the coach would have had a Splendide (I believe) that output to the grey tank (yes, 2 tanks). The previous owner wanted a stacked washer/dryer and, according to Jeff at ETLC, there was no room for the stacked unit and to output to the gray. So, with the owners agreement, Jeff plumbed the washer to the black tank. It likely would not be such a big deal if the washer did not use 20 gallons per cycle! We do get warnings that the black tank is approaching full but since we had no idea that the washer was draining into the black we really didn’t give it a 2nd thought and just kept washing clothes. We were SO lucky that it stopped where and when it did or our new bus could have been destroyed.

Think of the event as a cheap learning experience. Not too many of us had serious “oh shit” moments without consequences.
