Thanks guys. Tom and I have been around various boards going back to when Prevost-Stuff had a public forum open to all and it was owned by Joe B. We are trying to run a forum for other Prevost enthusiasts who have the same expectations of a forum as we do.

As everybody can see you don’t have to own a Prevost, just have an interest in coaches like a Prevost.

Clifford, we need to thank you because expertise such as you possess is invaluable and you have helped a great number of folks. It is comforting to know you are on the site to help with questions when they come up.

Glen, don’t get me in trouble with Tom. (oops, I read it wrong. I thought you said I had no sense.)

And it is a shame some folks on the other forum are conducting themselves in such a way. When folks with more experience start getting personal and pick on those with less experience it chases a lot of people away who can really benefit from dialogue, but who become afraid to post for fear someone will lash out at them. We will make every effort to help those who are new to Prevost coaches because every one of us was a Newbie at one time and we know how overwhelming it is trying to learn.

JUst reread my previous post and want to make it clear the other forum I am referring to in which members are getting personal is not a Prevost site. In fact it is two sites whose focus is on owner made conversions.

I am glad when you post on both! The few that are involved do not represent the majority. Until now I had not been treated as second class.

I don’t want to complain and will take my request off-line if needed but thought maybe others may be experiencing similar issues and would benefit from the feedback. I can only make posts using my company supplied computer or my cell phone. If I use my home computer while my post does post, it is empty. I don’t know if the issue is with the javascript or the asp. I know I have a non standard os and older browser, linux and older firefox but I don’t have any issue with most sites so maybe a tweek of either the js or asp would fix it. I would be glad to work with someone to diagnose it. I know that making a site compatible for everyone can be very difficlut.

Thanks again to Jon and all the others for all the articiles and postings with real lessons learned on every subject imaginable with our coaches. As a new owner, the information is invaluable… almost like having an owners manual for everything situation as close as your fingertips…. What is not standard information available for trouble shooting issues is available here!!

It takes a lot of time to assemble this information in a clear and concise way. Thanks as looking forward to meeting some of you in person at upcoming events…..

    Thomas,

There are some compatibilty problems. Posting with a first gen iPad doesn’t work and it looks like the insert link function doesn’t work. I suspect this may be a custom app without a widespread following. As such, and I’m guessing, these problems may not be readily corrected.

    Thomas,

The problems you are having are a concern, but if we are to correct them we need to know the specifics. We do know that with the proliferation of browsers and various devices now used to read and post to forums the problem every bulletin board or forum now has is compatibility.

Let us know exactly what browser or device you are using that gives problems. If possible we need to know the version. I would suggest if possible you switch and if that corrects the problem let us also know that because it helps our web guru to not only know what is working, but also what is not working.

In the past he has used his extensive group of friends with all manner of devices and software versions to test fixes and see if the problems could be duplicated, but nothing can be done until he knows specifics.

I understand about the compatibility issues. I have done alot of development in the past. It has been quite a while now but I should still remember enough to be of help to your developer. Feel free to have him contact me directly if you would like and I’ll work with him to do some testing. It may not be that hard to find what is failing and why. Fixing it may be another issue. Here are my specs in the mean time. Like I said older as I have not had time to upgrade. I don’t really have an option for upgrade as everything is now too old. It is a domino affect. To do one thing requires a pre-requisite and another and another and you finally end up just replacing the whole thing as it is just too much trouble. I have have been anticipating upgrading but just have not had time.

    Thomas,

Jon has notified our web guy, but I don’t recconize anything
    except Firefox and I’m on version 22, you’re on 3.4. It’s well
beyond my pay grade, but he is trying.
