  • THE NEW GUY ON THE BLOCK

Posted by Archived on January 14, 2014 at 8:27 am

Hello to everyone! I would like to introduce myself to you all. Although this is not the norm, I feel that it is a good idea.

Back in the 90’s anyone that worked on a Prevost coach was (for the most part) either working directly for the convertor or else worked for Buddy Greggs (where I met Jon for the first time, I had the pleasure of doing his orientation walk through on a Liberty that he had purchased) Working for BGMH is where I entered this areana. Of course we sold Liberty Coach, Royale Coach and Country Coach. Also for a period of time Millenium, Beaver, and Amercian Coaches. BGMH was a very good place to get into this industry. Having attended multiple Prevost schools, Carrier air conditioning,HWH,Country Coach, and Monaco Coach schools.

I left BGMH with Liberty Coach at the time they went to direct sales and left the dealer sales market. We packed up the family and moved to Stuart Fl. Well that didnt last long as Florida was not where my family was happy….Moving back to the Knoxville area and began doing service work for Liberty Coach at rallies and on the road emergency service.

The Prevost Community Group is a excellent resource to all owners and gives very helpful suggestions on how to either repair your own coach or things to watch for. Everyone is there to help each other.

I love East Tennessee and its strategically location to the large population of the US. I have seen the need for a service center that is independant of the convertors and other sales facilities. It is with this that I am opening shop in Vonore Tn which is located just southwest of Knoxville.

I look forward to meeting you all and if you are passing by you are welcome to stop in and enjoy East Tennessee…Thanks

A question everyone asks or at least thinks about is how much per hour. But as a full timer with an 88 coach is finding out, it isn’t how much it costs per hour, but how much gets done (and done correctly) in an hour.

And there is no relationship to the quality of work, and the cost per hour based on comments on these forums.

Peter really doesn’t care about the hourly rate, he’ll just tell Trina to sell another cow!

I may not have been the first customer by to see Jeff, but I will be the first to post on PC. I went by East Tn Luxury Coach yesterday afternoon with a Webasto that was serving as a boat anchor. In a short time Jeff had it performing like new again. I was very pleased with the work done. He was efficient, accurate and thorough. And when I say thorough I mean it. I like the way he checks and rechecks and verifys. That’s why it worked last night all night with out a problem.

I recommend Jeff and East Tn Luxury Coach to all bus owners. He has a nice place, easy to find, and did a great job for me.

Thanks Jeff- will be back next time I need help!!!

Good to hear another good outcome and “Jeff” just wished you were closer to Texas. I guess as long as the wheels turn on the bus you are just a hop, skip and jump away. If we are ever in your neck of the woods will stop by. I always have a list a mile long to do or check. Take care and good luck!

This past Wednesday we were on our way to Sevierville Tn. from Owensboro Ky. My aft cruise air coded low freon.

I called Jeff to see if he could look at and add freon. He told me to stop by and we did. Thankfully all we needed was more freon.

Jeff offered us to stay for the night and hook to his 50 amp plug. We did and I will add he offered water and a dump station as well.

I am always looking to learn so I asked Jeff many questions. One thing I learned about him was that he has plenty

of experence and contacts. If he didn’t have the answer he was willing to contact someone to get the answer.

Jeff has great location with plenty of room. I wish him the best in this new venture.

When it comes to hourly rates, I have found that the cheapest price isn’t always the best deal!

I was very happy with the work he did for me and felt the cost of work was very fair. Not only do I recommend

Jeff but I plan on stopping by next year on our way south to have him do some planned maintance. Rick
