The Double Burp Fuel Back Splash

My tanks on my 97 did not have to be full to puke. I could be 50 to 75 gallons from full and the thing would puke, either side, no warning.
Mine was a 208 main and 90 gallon aux tank and except for the lowest possible fuel flow, by hand, the nozzle would shut off then after a couple of seconds it would erupt fuel.

Remember one quarter tank, dump in a hundred gallons, you should not have any problems.
Side note, Jon, if you have a second or two before the burb be quick buddy put the cap on. ” smiles ”
Hope I didn’t cause any hate and discontent here, just having fun sometimes you guys get too serious, and it scares me.

Dick if you want a smille imagine a guy with a new to him 97 coach with two side fill compared to the previous 87 with passenger side fill only. I couldn’t ever get that to burp. The nozzle would click off before a drop would come out no matter how fast it was pumping.
But here I am at a Pilot near home filling my tank. I had brand new jeans and nearly new Birkenstocks on.
The nozzle clicked off on the passenger side and I turned to remove the nozzle and as my hand got onto the nozzle the damn thing didn’t burp, it puked a lot. All over my new jeans and my Birkenstocks.
Do you folks know that no matter how often you wash something soaked with diesel fuel it still stinks like diesel fuel? Do you know how silly it looks for someone to climb into the coach and strip on the steps so the inside of the coach doesn’t smell like the clothes laying in a pile at the bottom of the steps?
The bus puked fuel for as long as I owned it, but never ever to a pattern. Sometimes it puked at slow flow rates, sometimes at fast flow rates, sometimes when it had 50 gallons to go. But the damn thing never ever was given the chance to puke on me again because I waited a long time after the nozzle clicked off before I touched it.

Installation of the the Prevost “Product Improvement of Spillway Use” kit #032413 has resolved our fuel back splash problem. No more double burp back splash, or back splash at all when refueling.
