The Coburg Queen Eastbound
Posted by Archived on September 30, 2014 at 9:34 pmGetting ready to blow the doors off big Al…. When I went by the air horns were blowing and the driver appeared to be giving me the number one, or was it the middle finger..

He was likely telling you that you are number 1….
Is he on his way to see Jeff? I thought he mentioned that some time ago….

Looks to me like the Coburg Queen was listening to Lawrence Welk and running the front door for the Godfather at 58 mph.
You didn’t want to wait on them, eh driver. You guys are out late, 404 pm. Pretty good.

I met a convoy of Prevosts with toads on I-20 near Monroe, Louisiana around 2:30 on Monday. They were pointed east. Was that any of the no-rally crowd fleeing OKC?

That could have been some coaches heading to the Prevost Proud rally.

That might explain the nice Liberty that I saw parked at my kids bus stop at Arbor Place Mall off I-20 in Douglasville, GA
Generally, we get to look at trucks. This was a nice change of pace.

Who won the bay contest? Did any of you guys take any pictures of the coaches that were there? Big Al promised but maybe the chile got the best of him

Bernie – I had the front door for about 80% of the time from OKC to Jeff’s, but had to follow some to be sure the Queen was running OK. Had to stop every 150 miles so Big Al could wipe off an oil leak on the 50DN, he had it down to a 3 minute deal. So I took care of his campground reservation, Nancy fed him, I give him a chair to sit on the bank of Mississippi to watch the tug boats, provided peanuts and kept him awake. I even cleaned the bugs off the Queen at 7:30 am, only to look up and see Big Al in his underwear watching me work, a sight I’m not likely to forget for a few days. I also gave him a hand held FM radio so we could communicate. You know he had the CB removed at Marathon because it bumped against his leg when driving, so no chance of ever hearing c’monnnn.
Sid – Mike took lots of pictures and was suppose to post, but he has a CC and may still be trying to find his way back to Texas.

Oh my, the thought of him in skivys in the front window would of been money in the bank if you got a picture.
I figured by the time you left OKC he would of had the bucket system figured out to put behind the DN.
I hollered at him about pulling the radio out but NOOOO, it’s by my leg! Hell the CB is good now, nobody talks on it anymore, you still need it and it would of been fun to have it.
Glad everybody had a big time and sorry we missed the show.
Your only friend in the LQ.
