Thankful at Thanksgiving
My wife Janet and I decided to drive to Virginia to be with Janet’s mom for thanksgiving. I was not exactly thrilled thinking about the 14 hour drive especially through the rain and snow we hit enroute. My attitude quickly changed when we arrived however and I saw how grateful her mom was to have us there as she would otherwise have been alone.
I then started to think about all the service men and women who are deployed in various parts of the world, most of them being away for months and not having the luxury of being home with family for Thanksgiving, Christmas or any holidays. Many of them putting their lives on the line daily so that we can enjoy the freedoms that we take for granted every day.
So here’s a simple but heartfelt thank you to all the former service men and women that are PC members and their families and the current military personnel that do what they do every day, selflessly, often without gratitude and praise. Thank you. Your efforts are very much appreciated and may you stay safe and eventually return to your homes and families.

Happy Thanksgiving Megan and I would like to take this time to wish all the members of PC a wonderful Thanks giving, hope you get to spend it with family!, Be thankful for the many blessings we take for granted, and remember the service men in those out of the way places that are so far from home and hearth, Gary and Megan

I know I’m getting old when it just seems like we just celebrated Thanksgiving a few weeks ago (a year goes fast) ,but very happy that we are here doing it again with everybody happy and healthy!
Dad is almost 94 yrs. old so I know that there’s not too many more to go. But, with 7 kids, 10 granddkids and 7 great grandkids (his, not mine! LOL!), we have many more wonderful Thanksgivings ahead to continue the tradition.

I hope every one had as good a day as we did. We drove 300 miles in absolutely beautiful weather capping off a very smooth 1500+ miles from California to Texas. We parked the bus at the church where we will be Sunday and headed to Cracker Barrel. We walked right in, went straight to a table and enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving meal. We enjoyed visiting as a family and visiting with the waiter. Went to check out and our bill had been paid by a stranger. (Found out the “stranger” was a family that recognized us. They are from Tennesse and we met them a few years ago in Illinois. They were visiting family in Texas and Oklahoma and saw us in Cracker Barrel and paid for our Thanksgiving meal.)
One more thing to be thankful for and I already have a whole bucket of things to thank God for!
