Techlink Question
My SC240 bit the dust a couple of weeks ago. With Leon’s approval, I shipped it to Coburg for his appraisal. A week later I am in possession of a brand new Raspberry Pi unit. I went up to the bus to install it, but as I was removing the old power supply, I noticed what appears to be DC connections at the power supply. Since I have no idea what they are for (I can speculate but why?) and there is no place to use them on the new RPi unit, I am reluctant to remove/unplug them. Anyone have any thoughts??

I don’t know what that device is Ron, looks like phone related. I did the RPI at Marathon San Antonio and it took some time because the tech had to do a bunch of resets for the Techlink to get all the parameters correct.
Didn’t realize they would let anyone DIY. Buddy just did his at Marathon Texas and has to go back for the same problems, Techlink parameters out of whack.

that’s the power supply for the small computer. Just like one you’d see on a laptop. Except for those terminals…..hmmmm.
Hope this is a direct plug n play (R Pi). Looks simple enough and they charged me an hour to program it.

Ask Leon what that wire goes to… it’s marked so he’ll be able to look it up easily.

It is a aiphone power supply, which is for intercom/camera at the door….However there should be a power supply there for the mini computer so maybe that was used for it…

Jeff, you are correct. The power supply for the small computer doesn’t look like a traditional supply and I gave the Aiphone power supply a quick look and made the wrong assumption. Won’t be my last mistake. I found the real power supply and removed it. By the way, the new raspberry pi unit works great.
