Replaced all the Tank drain valves about 5 or 6 years ago and I have a couple leaking! Is there a better drain valve than this one??

Hello Art – Agree… seems they do not last very long.

I have replaced them twice in just under five years of Prevost ownership. Since the first time, I only replace those on the wet, primary, secondary, and aux tanks; and, have PLUGGED all ping tanks.

With a properly operating and routinely serviced engine driven compressor AIR FILTER DRYER, water will never make it to a ping tank.

    I plugged the ping tanks

I ordered a couple of cable type pull drains to try, I was tempted to just install 1/4 brass ball valves??

Have always wondered why Prevost does not install upon their air tanks “automatic moisture ejectors” (my verbiage)

Both Spartan and Freightliner use them

I’ve used this type for years as replacements and have never had one fail. Do a search for pipe thread petcock. You may need several different size pipe threads.
