If you guys are thinking of new lenses because the lights are dim consider these projector LEDs available on Amazon. I have spent a small fortune testing different bulbs and these light up my dingy lenses better than anything i have found. They work for both 12v and 24v. They are awesome. I used red bulbs for brake, amber in turn and white for tail. Could not be happier with them

Plastic can be polished FWIW. Just like one would do headlight lenses. Be careful with any power tools buffing. Plastic will burn very easy. Use a very fine cutting cleaner wax, then a couple coats of good wax. Elbow grease is best , think of it as sweat equity.

Looks like you fabbed your own. Nice job. I woulda thought by now Bosch would be offering a same size, direct fit LED upgrade kit. Thinking of the thousands of coaches their market could be.

Did you do your own stainless fab?

Is that the Whalen “high center break light”?

Dick I did do the stainless it is 11 awg. The 3rd brake light is a Whalen It is very bright.

Would you be willing to share LED specs and sketches/info on the stainless surround.

Yours looks like what I may want. I have not pulled the string on some other options since the stainless surround looks much larger and takes away from the existing paint.

What are you intending to do with the two holes at the bottom of each light stack? Add a light or fiberglass close the holes?

Hi Jeff,

Do you recall if you had the #1683 bulbs in your rear lights (stop/brake/turn) before switching to the LED projector bulbs? Just wondering as they’re not listed as a direct replacement for the #1683 bulbs.

The existing bulbs had no numbers on them that i could see. I just went by the base style (mini bayonet ba15s) with a single element.

I removed the lights to clean the trim I replaced the bulbs with LED very bright.
