  • Tail Light Adapter

Posted by Liam on April 8, 2019 at 9:28 am

My ‘92 has yellow turns, red markers, and red brake lights – all independent.

My Jeep has the 2-wire, everything in one taillights.

Can someone help me find the right wiring adapter please?

My shop installed this – and thank god I don’t drive at night – because when the bus markers are on, they override the turn signals.

    Hey Liam,

I have that same problem when the running lights are on the signal lights are not fully blinking it seems like they not getting full power. I have a tail light converter but I am open for suggestions. The running lights, brake lights and brakes work fine on the trailer it’s just the signal lights that are weak. ???

I switched to Jeep LED tail lights to get more brightness. Hopefully someone else in the club has solved this.

I’ve always used the Hopkins light kit, plug and play, 4 wire to the front then I use 6 round to the Jeep. No wires to cut or splice.

The unit in the picture is correct, maybe it is wired incorrectly?

Mike, on the Roadmaster unit – where do the Prevost marker lights connect? Thanks

OK, found this diagram on the web. Helpful. So the marker light feed should go directly from the bus to the lights and not through the gizmo.

The unit in the picture is called a combiner. It does nothing with or for the marker lights. The marker lights do not go thru that device. Turn and brake only.
