    As to OTR questions a really good starting point is to visit the Prevost Car web site, commercial side, go to service and look for the webinars. Prevost created a good webinar relating to OTR and how the system works.

    Don, don’t know ( haven’t researched) if the logic is different on coach years, but mine is a 1991 coach and tag lift works. If it would help to look at mine and air logic is the same, just a few miles east of you off I10. Mine is stock Prevost and hasn’t been monkeyed with.

    If you look in your steering bay, you’ll find that Liberty installed (2) 3 port norgrens. I replaced mine and they were not 5 ports, FWIW. You are now saying everything is working properly. How did that happen?

    My original subject line”Tag won’t raise, & 1 tag bag(not both) won’t inflate”, was the problem. I fixed the 1 tag bag problem by putting a pipe plug in the 3 port relay valve exhaust port on the uninflated side. The other side that inflates normally already had a pipe plug in the exhaust port of the 3 port relay valve on that side.

    The tag still doesn’t raise, but oh well(far now)?

    Thanks from the San Antonio area. GO SPURS GO!

    Don,

    In a word your coach is still messed up.

    If you had to put a pipe plug in anything something is wrong.

    Now I am thinking the valve that supplies pilot air to the three port Norgrens (i think it is on the passenger side of the frame to the rear of the coach from the other 3 port Norgren isn’t working.

    But to frustrate and confuse you even more, if your pneumatic system was not maintained properly it could be expected to find a wet gray sludge in the valves we are discussing so all of your research on the diagrams and all of our advice can go out the window because when nothing works properly as intended diagnosis is difficult.

    Sometime I’ll remove the 3 valves and hook everything up on the work bench and see whats what.

    Actually you can look at the diagram on the valve. That shows the air flow. Also the numbering of the ports is helpful. For example if you apply air pressure to the 12 port (which is the number assigned to the pneumatic actuator on the end of a 5 port valve, it will open the path between port 1 and 2. Pretty neat.

    Don

    Have you looked at the cans that lift the tag while someone else works the level in the cab? My bus would not lift the tags but the cans were working. So I shorten the chain that attaches to the tags axle and they now come off the ground.

    Re-weighed the coach w/2 people on board in the front seats, 3/4 fuel, all holding tanks empty.

    Steer=13,120 Lbs

    Drive= 19,000 Lbs

    Tag= 8,880 Lbs

    Total=41,000
