Sway Bar Bushings
Just coming back in from a 1300 mile trip. As I got off the exit, heading for the house, I heard a new bumping noise coming from under my seat it sounded like.
After driving the bus up on my ramps, I found this bushing had come apart. Anyone had this problem, and tips on replacing them?

Jerry I replaced all mine with the black rubber ones they last longer , the red ones are good but if they fail its all at once they can look good one time and the next time failed easy to change out

Prevost has them also. Last trip to Nashville I got a bag of them. A disintegrating red bushing is common. They look great right up until the point when they start coming apart. Then when they do it happens in very few miles.
The black rubber bushings such as used with shock absorbers will fail over time, but the deterioration takes place over a long period of time and it is usually repaired before the metal parts without a bushing start banging and clanging.
I have no red bushings on my coach anymore.

source prevost parts. I just did all alll of them. Not a big deal with proper tools. A little dawn soap and a home made press (to use in place) . Press is two pieces of 3/4 inch ply wood with a piece of all thread between them. Start rubber into clean bar end and compress the rest of way. Bob

How many bushings are on the rear? I only see one sway bar back there. The rubber ones holding the sway bar in place seem ok, (with the saddle clamps on them)
