Sturgeon Spearing Season Opened on Lake Winnebago
I should have posted this a couple of weeks ago to give everyone time to get up here for this. The link below is from the Wisconsin DNR chronicling opening day of the season on Lake Winnebago.

We’re headed to Wendt’s On The Lake this morning where 211 of the monsters were registered yesterday.
The ice roads are all plowed … so you can go from one side of the lake to the other or north-south, whatever you want to do. There is 25″ to 30″ of ice on the lake this year and we haven’t had a thaw for a month or more. So the ice is hard. Probably could support a Prevost this year; but don’t park too close together.
Put this on your calendar for 2015. Great reason to get away from the hot, sticky weather down south and breath the crisp clean air that comes down from Canada.
