To Jim’s point about loads when a coach is shut down, remote storage with power is OK, but somehow in the event of a power outage you have to be notified because it will not take long to drain batteries unless you have 100% confidence the entire coach and its systems are put to sleep.

    Jim,

Your saying the inverter disconnects don’t shut down the cabling between the batteries and inverters? I think you may be wrong, the inverter disconnects remove all power to the inverters. The inverter bay fans are controlled with a snap disc on my Marathons and if the inverter power via the disconnect is off, the bay fans are dead. Same goes for the inverter internal fans, if the disconnect is off, no power.

    Truk

that was not our experience with 0586. There were separate computer fans separate of inverters that were running after we shut every thing shut down. We followed Leon’s instruction to T. They were hard wired items directly to house batteries. It was so dead, the entry door code wouldn’t work. Naturally, all the keys were in the bus and door shut. Don Arlett, Prevost Mira Loma got the paint shop where we’re having a graphics change some keys.ill assume 0593 is the same being 7 coaches newer.

All inverters have internal fans, but depending on where and how they are located the converter may have provided additional fans to introduce fresh air to the inverters.

I would guess both Jim and Tom are correct and how the supplemental fans are wired is coach specific.
