  • Step Cover not functioning

Posted by Tommy on September 7, 2015 at 4:54 pm

This weekend my step cover would not close. Neither the switch at the passenger nor the driver’s seat would work. The Auxiliary Air stayed between 90 and 120 all weekend. Open to suggestions. Thanks.

I might be wrong but I think your step cover is actually coming off the horizontal Prevost push in air manifold in the steer compartment. That manifold requires the key on because a solenoid valve shuts off air with the key off.

Key was definitely on as we were cruising down the highway. If I was cruising with the key off I probably saved a lot of fuel. 🙂

Tommy it could be the versa valve in steering bay should be near front wall by head lights, it could be a fuse and I am not sure but might be a Allen bradly relay , I will have to look at it , will get back to you

it should be on output card # 5 wire number 52E so it could be the output card
