  • Steering Wheel Straighten

Posted by Art on September 29, 2018 at 10:07 am

When I’m driving straight down the road my steering wheel is turned to the left a little, which way would I have to turn the adjuster in the steer compartment coming off the steering box, to straighten the wheel ??

That setting is corrected with adjustment of side to side steering links parts.

Toe in adjustment is made…. then fine adjustment usually at tie rod ends or drag link for steering wheel centering.

Maybe you have alignment issue ?

Maybe you have a worn steering part ?

Maybe it’s the crown in road ?

Al is correct. You need an alignment and the last step is usually to center the steering wheel.

You may not need an alignment. If the coach is driving straight but the steering wheel is slightly off center you may just need to adjust the rack and pinion (?) in the steering bay. Mine is just slightly off and I have had it aligned by the best.
