Steep Grades … Semis … Good Luck
“Keeping a wary eye on the temperature gauge, the old bus groaned as it worked its way up the hills and the road continued to twist and turn. Like a long black snake, much like those big one’s that natives in Central America search the swamp for with their feet, it kept turning and twisting and all the time, climbing upwards.
Looking down and the temp has climbed to one ninety-five and some change, I reach down and hit the misters and grab another gear, we are down to third now, and still, no end in sight. We keep twisting and turning, the air is cool and the tree’s are shading the road. The wife sits in the buddy chair and is quiet, most likely regretting not taking the Dramine when it was offered.”
