Are you sure it’s the window and not the screen? There are 2 little thin one sided sticky tabs that should be on the bottom of the frame that compress to keep it from metal on metal but thin enough to seal the window so you don’t get any air noise.

Well I’d hate to say that I’m positive but I’m pretty sure it’s the glass against the rubber seal.

We’ve had experience with the door seal “barking” as well as the windows squeaking. I spray some of this on a rag or paper towel & wipe down the offending seal. After the propellant flashes off, no more squeak. Be cautious with it around painted surfaces – silicone & any future paint work you may need won’t mix well.

You may want to check prices, too. I use this stuff for lubeing locks, hinges, all manner of sliding and moving parts. I usually buy a case of 12 cans about every year to year & a half. I research prices when I need some.

Dean, you need to check the closer arm works properly. There is a steel ball that travels inside the latch. If that has disappeared the window will not close tightly.

The ball in most cases is forced out when handle goes beyond travel point.

Thanks for the suggestions. Turns out that I had a spot where the counter top was squeaking in addition to the windows. I was able to fix that and so far have gotten rid of the window squeak by putting some baby powder on the rubber seal. I know that won’t last so i will follow up on MikeD’s suggestion.

As said before DO NOT GET SILICON ON PAINTED SURFACES as it is super hard to paint that area if the need arises, even the wind will carry it so do not spray on a windy day.
