  • Spring Wash and Polish

Posted by Ronald on April 25, 2022 at 5:22 pm

Pulled the old gal out and gave her a deep wash and some polish. Working on polishing the shiny bits now. Next will be the engine bay, and all of the bays.

I may be selling this old girl soon. When I do she will be posted in the PC Prevost for Sale section. In the meantime, I love this old girl and the sound of the 8V92.

    Everyone have a great week.

Answer to question posed by Mike: I am not sure. The history I found was they started converting right before the economic collapse of 2008 and lasted, maybe, four years. I was told they had converted four to six coaches. Whether that is accurate, or not, I can not attest.

I like my ole girl. She is comfortable and enjoyable, and she is nothing fancy. Her last interior update was 2000, but it would be nice to replace the jacuzzi tub with a walk in shower, and replace the carpet with newer carpet.

She gathers attention just about wherever I take her. There are a few times that I have come out of a restaurant, Pilot, or T/A, and a family with small kids are curious as to who is in the bus.

Still, I do have something in mind to replace her with and to help improve Tammie’s appreciation of a Prevost. I do plan to put her on the market and will most likely be asking on the low $60K range.

For now, I just want to enjoy her. Get planned maintenance done, i.e. differential service, transmission service, cooling system service, oil service, and greased. I may also replace all of the shocks and tires. If the air bags need done I will get that done, too.

I have an affection for this ole gal and cannot pat her enough.

Ron was your coach originally a seated coach that Hercules converted in the early, mid, or late 2000’s?

That’s a great write up Ron, I love your passion for your Bus. We constantly have posts that are “something’s not working” It’s nice to hear someone talk about how much they like their bus. I think Hercules Coach has a great Ring to it.

    Dick,

No, it has never been a seated coach. At least according to the records and the VIN which shows MH from initial issue.
