  • Special Prevost tool.

Hello, anyone know what tool, part#, or supplier for the tool that takes off the front hub nut/collar that looks like this? I’m used to seeing a castle nut and lock washer with tabs you bend after setting preload on bearing. Any pictures would be appreciated. Thank you

Loosen the pinch bolt on the nut, it should turn off freely. Then an angled pick will remove the washer with the D hole. Be careful when reinstalling that the D slides over the spindle, or you won’t get the proper preload on the bearing.

Got it back together. It’s tough putting it on and setting bearing preload without the prevost tool. Not sure what that tool is but they say they make one.

Hum, I surely wonder what you folks are talking about. I may be the only one to say it but I suspect there are many others who are lost.
