New high pressure pump and smaller nozzle installed. Smokes for about 10-15 minutes at startup. What could cause this?

Morning, I want to follow up on this post. Had a nice chat with John and found a common problem which is easily fixed.
He had not run the burner regularly. I find this often and it results in the diesel on the nozzle congealing resulting in the smoking, unburned fuel.
The solution is two fold. First, service the burner which includes a new nozzle. Second, RUN the burner ONCE per month, year round, no excuses. This keeps fresh diesel on the nozzle allowing it to fire with no smoke or smell for 2 or maybe 3 years before burner service is necessary again.
