I was not generating full boost pressure as per my gauge and blowing more black smoke than normal. Some diagnosis at Coach Worx in Clearwater, Fl showed a leaking “charge air cooler” which is the “radiator” for turbo air. This was causing a decrease in power as well as fuel mileage.

    John B.,

How many miles did you have on your engine when the injector failed?

    Thanks,

    MM.

8X,XXX miles. The tech at Stewart & Stevenson in New Orleans, who seemed very knowledgeable, told me it happens from time to time, but is not an indicator of needing to replace other injectors. I went another 20K miles without another injector problem. Then I sold the bus. Good Luck in your quest!
