  • SMC Valve

I seem to have air leaking thru my SMC Valve which controls my air bed. Both ports which have plugs in them leak when I put my bed up and then down. Plus, very small leaks are coming from these two ports when their is air over 40psi put thru the regulator.

Other than replacing the SMC Valve, could the two air cylinder’s under the bed have bad O-Rings which is causing them to leak back into the SMC Valve?

Also, what psi do you have your air bed and pocket doors set at? I know the gen bags are 25psi.

If you don’t get any answers Tim, let me know. I have to remove a panel under the bathroom sink to get to the pressure gauges and regulator.

    No worries Tom,

I had to take out the closet floor to get access to these two regulators.

My pocket door is set at 30psi, but to actually lift my air bed, I have to set that regulator at 75psi. My pressure switch for my Aux Compressor is 85-105, so I’m good with those pressures.

The issue I’m having with the SMC Valve is it’s leaking at the two ports with plugs, at least I think it leaks. One port vents when I lift the bed, and the other port vents when I put the bed down.

Leon said Marathon puts an exhaust on these SMC Valves; however, I can’t locate the exhaust he’s talking about. But as you see from the pic, there’s definitely air coming out when the bed goes up or down.

    Tim,

I’ll send you an e-mail with my cell number. I have a source for the SMC electro split valve. Works in conjunction with tech link.
