I did not recommend a shutoff. As I stated, that was the reply I received from Donny Meyer.

I have no argument to offer regarding a check valve. However, When a guy who worked for Vantare’ building Vanatre’s and has made a good business servicing and refurbishing Vantare’s tells me to use a shut off, I pay attention.

I also suspect that he was aware of a check valve solution, but for reasons only he knows at this point, he opts for and recommends and guarantees a shutoff.

That’s interesting. I don’t remember what conversion I saw it on, but instead of connecting the generator air bags to the bus aux system they were tied together as a loop and were provided with a Schrader valve for manual filling.

My Royale had the manual fill and you probably saw it there Jon.

Of all the air leaks I have had and chased and repaired on my coaches, the generator air bags and their associated fittings and pressure regulator were never a problem. I may regret having just said that.

Well located the problem. The sintered filter on the MAC air solenoid that controls the air direction in and out of the slide cylinder was clogged and would not allow the air to release/equalize (regardless of direction) out of the MAC solenoid. Once I backed off the filter it worked perfect. So have to replace it.

On to the next issues, the house AC is not up to par, so need to get an AC service person over to check out the freon, etc.
