Prevost : spec 80 83 or 86 this refers to what when ordering.. I have a 98 45 XLE . I have assumption,but that is all. Bob

That is the inside height I believe and the skin differences at one time were identified by counting the ribs in the front below the window.
I cannot remember the details Bob so someone more aware of the magic tricks to identifying the height needs to jump in here. I think but don’t know for sure that entertainer shells had the most headroom.

All you really need is the last 4 digit of your VIN # when ordering parts. The spec 80, 83, or 86 refers to interior height. It also refers to rubber gaskets and seals (example: rubber door gaskets, window seals) exterior skin panels etc. When ordering parts from Prevost, if you have the last 4 # of your VIN, they will be able to tell you if it is 80, 83, or 86. The 80/83/86 height issue can be determined by the rib count in the skin below the side windows; 2,3, or 4 ribs.

Inside heigth is 86 inches and I have 4 ribs so what you have said has confirmed my assumptions. I talked to David at IBP and he said he never had clear answer to that question but could make me the sideing I need from the drawings. I need it for the slides and to repair fire damage. I just checked the 89 and it has 2 ribs and is 80 inches inside. Life is good. When the Ah Ha light comes on. . Enjoying sunny Florida till April! Going to save freight and take sideing for 98 home with me. Thanks Bob

IBP ordered skin replacement today: will be ready to take home when I leave. Checked against a piece of old had had with and their drawings. All is good. Thanks for clarification as to heigth and getting us to proper drawings. 4 pieces will go in the bay of the 89 XL for the 98 XLE then outside of 98 will be restored to good shape. International Bus Parts IBP Industries has been informed of our site and has bookmarked it. Another source when Prevost does not have a item. Bob

Picked up new skin for 98 yesterday. Nice operation. Yes I did tell them to take advantage of Prevostcommunity. They have some real nice acessories. Also their word is solid. Bob
