Sinks In A Slide
I’m finding that in my price range (2002-2008), Featherlite seems to put the kitchen sink in the front slideout on a fair precentage of their two slide coaches.
On my SOB, I’ve had the displeasure of experiencing the damage a leaking sink drain in a kitchen slideout can cause. I would hate to repeat that experience.
Do I need to avoid considering purchase of a Featherlite with a kitchen sink in the front slide or do they know how to do it where eventual drain leakage is not a problem?
I’ve seen a few Featherlite buses that seem to fit our needs but have excluded them from our search due to the sink location.

I have seen more coaches built with this kind of arrangement lately. I don’t have any evidence to say it is bad, but if you can find a coach without it, I would think you would be happier since you have experienced issues in the past.
I have had issues with shut off valves failing and the resulting mess. I can only imagine how much of a mess a drain failure would be, especially in a slide room.
Are you set on that converter, or are you looking at many?

My wish list tends to point me to Marathons with roof air. I need a lot of storage and it will be a challenge to make an XLII work if it has OTR or even cruise airs. An H3 gives me more options but seem to run over $50k more than a similar configuration XLII.

You could go with a non-slide and avoid the hassle all-together!
Actually,
If we upgrade, roof-airs and 2-slides would be on the list, but I’ve been happy with my cruiseairs so far.
