Well, I am back at JAX. Seems that they forgot to fix the bay door skins that were loose. They are doing that now. I thought they would have done it before it went to paint, but I guess it got overlooked. I had scheduled a couple of minor maintenance items for today so they just added that to the list.

Paint looks good, but had to get some stainless touched up before I left Elegance. Also one small paint issue where it had been buffed too much and showed primer through. Mike touched it up before I left. Overall, I think they did a good job on the paint matching and blending. Dave is a great guy to talk to, and really cares about the quality of work there.

Of course it rained just before I picked up the coach, so I will post pics later. Otherwise, I should be out of here this afternoon if all goes well.

Really glad your back on the road to home Mark, blow the horn at 306, you’re off the hook for dinner, since I’m in MO. The fuel was 3.71 there when I left.

I decided to stay here tonight. It was almost 6:30 when I got everything ready to go, so I said the heck with it and plugged in for the night. I will take off in the morning.

Everything I wanted to get done got done, so I am happy with that. Even got a couple of extras done since they had time, and I had to wait for the glue to dry anyway. They went around and cleaned off the extra sealant and tape residue at the end of the day. There was a fair amount from when they did the repairs and some from the paint shop. They were very pleasant and did all I asked.

How is your tag temp today? Hope that isn’t going to be a problem down the road….

For anyone who is interested, it looks like the final total for the complete rivet repair and paint on my coach came out to $42,752.34. Prevost picked up the entire tab.

Paint was $17,655.75 which included stainless polishing.

This includes the extra labor at JAX after I picked it up at Elegance due to the bay door issues they forgot the first time.
