  • Shower Door Problem

Posted by Shelby & Barbara on July 11, 2016 at 4:51 pm

We have a shower door that opens to the left. Problem, when doing a hard stop (Louisiana Drivers), my shower door comes open. Anyone have a suggestion on how to secure it?

We have a pin that secures the door on the bottom. Newell have an acrylic piece that secures the door on the top. The Newellgurus we camped with last month said it is about $15.

Our 1991 Hoffman has a small knob on the shower door that turns 90 degrees to lock it.

Most coaches have some mechanical means of preventing doors and drawers from opening under different driving conditions. Our previous coach had a shower door latch like what Tom described. If the folks at Hoffman cannot assist you there are a number of hardware manufacturers that make catches of all sorts, and in the event you run out of luck finding a solution a little Velcro and your imagination might help solve the problem.
