Shore power cord danger
Today i decided to open my shore power plug as one of the blades seemed to be loose compared to the other prongs in the plug.
When I removed the cover to the plug I attempted to test the blades and connections. The blade that was seemingly loose let loose of the wire as i pulled on it.
The other blades took two or more turns on the connection screw to tighten them.
Inadequate tension on electrical connections creates resistance which generates heat, which leads to electrical fires.
May not be a serious issue if connected to a campsite plug, but if connected to your personal receptacle as in my case is inside my warehouse could lead to a fire inside building and serious loss of property.
Additionally this has detriment on power supplied to coach from receptacle which cord is plugged into.
