Shock installation
Got 4 out of the 6 shocks off, new shocks will be here tomorrow, cleaned off shafts where shock grommets ride, lots of rubber on them. should I put anything on shafts for new shock grommets??

The last set I did I just put a light coat of grease on the shaft.

doesn’ say, the old shocks were on for 22 years so that’s why there was some rubber on the shafts, so I cleaned shafts and i’m just going to put them on dry.

I’ve always replaced my own, more sets than I can count, about every 5 or 6 years, and always replaced them dry. I suppose I should have looked in the book, but a part with 2 nuts to remove and replace didn’t seem like there would be much of a how-to list.
