Congrats Jon & Di So who will be on the ladder from here on out Jon you or Di? Were you able to set your coach height and back right in or and have to adjust height as you backed in? Sounds like a very tight sweeeeze.

Those who have never seen the driveway (rises 80 feet in 285 feet of length) it presents a challenge when transitioning from the upslope to the flat garage floor. The rear of the bus is still climbing as it enters the garage, while the crown of the driveway gets closer to the bottom of the coach between the axles.
But now that it has been shown to get into the garage without damaging anything the process is simple. Raise the front as high as it will go, and when the rear is at the door opening, lower it as low as it will go. When the front is about 10 feet from going in the garage lower the front so the satellite dish clears the opening.
Leaving the garage and going down the driveway just requires a reversal of the raising and lowering sequence. I have been doing that for years with the current coach (except on that coach I do not have to lower or raise the rear) so I don’t see a problem. If I forget to do things in the right sequence however it will turn into a mistake with very serious consequences.

It just won’t be the same knowing you don’t drive the 97 anymore. That bus has been like family to all of us. That being said, Congratulations!

Jon could you extend your trench out to the crown of the driveway/garage to insure nothing drags? You could have grated covers made to cover this trench when not needed.

Conceptually that would work except for one thing……..the baffle that drags is in line with the tires. I see a rubber baffle that can flex harmlessly in my future.
