Art I replaced mine on our last coach part numbers were on the valve cover. I also went down 10 degrees cooler, but would not recommend that ,found motor ran cooler but more fuel according to Silverleaf ,so I replaced with recommended 190 degree stats.I believe computer dumped more fuel to raise temperature once I removed cooler stats back up towards 7 mpg .I would stay with Detroit parts not after market stuff.

Art, Please take and post photos of the t-stat replacement 🙂

I did them on an old Cummins c8.3, yet don’t even know where they are located on the Series 60

Are the two thermostats easy to find? Get at? Replace?

I wonder how many people on the Forum know the Detroit or Volvo engines had two thermostats.

LOCATION of thermostats when you open engine doors they are located on left side of motor. You will have to look around turbo pipes, just in front of turbo to the right. Memory housing is fairly heavy and I accessed it by going over valve cover, also replaced sending unit when I was back there.
