For those ariving early or wanting to stay and set around camp fire for couple nights. With help organizing from you I have parking for about 50 to 75 coaches paved fairly flat. Restroom available. Dump station and maybe water. Also have a lakeside party house within yards of parking area for sunday and monday nights–fire place and all. BYOB Ladies and mens restroons open near parking area also. Do your own thing. No bus== Fairfield Inn 2 miles away. Burdett Park campground is not equipped for buses but has offered their parking lots and Lakeside Pavilion to us. Prob 4 or 5 miles to Greyhound. Donations excepted. Security at site provided. 2 or 100 room for all. LST 325 will be back from fall cruise on 17 Sept. Will be open for tours. Bob

Have finalized. Arrangements for parking for early arrivals during show and a few days after. Have Lake side Shelter house for 2 nights for get together. We have 10 from Busgrease Monkey already today and Jon said he would be there. Plans or what you want to do. I’m not to benfit $$ wise and would not take it if offered! Donation will go to supplies and any left over will go to Burdette Park for their programs. The Bus Greyhound show will be great! This just intended to give access before and A non-rally after. As Bob said I am planning on going because it is really going to be neat seeing historically significant buses, a fully restored orignal Greyhound terminal and an opportunity to hang with a bunch of guys who are doing their own conversions.
I would hope a bunch of PC members would make the trip also not only to see how our coaches have evolved but to meet guys from other bus forum sites. We all have a lot in common.
The site is about 6 miles from the Greyhound terminal and I suspect when we are not looking over some of the restored buses on display we will be hanging around with a bunch of other bus folks swapping lies and picking on one another.

We’ll be coming back from Driggs & points West. Sounds like a good time. Our schedule is very fluid, but planning at this point to be in pm of the 20th.

Since I didn’t see any age criteria on the initial registration site (or I missed it), I registered us as a participant, but we don’t yet quite meet the 25 year threshold apparently needed to park downtown. Do I need to contact anyone at BusBoys to change our status??

stay at Park go to rally and return to park. It had been mentioned that this being just two nights at Greyhound station unless you wanted to arive late Friday and Depart at end of sunday parade that some needed to arrive early and some place to stay sunday night. We could have a non rally(just means no structure) except as we want it would be nice to gather and visit on a relaxed setting.You can stay at park if you want straight thru. We can visit for several days after.

Like Mike & Karen, we’ll be leaving Driggs after the solar eclipse, so will try to make Evansville a stop on our way from there.

I would like to plead with Jon & Scott to be co-host. I’m not good at that! I do have place reserved with a indoor meeting place with deck lakeside. Anyone wanting to arrive real early(a week) let me know and i will help out with that. I have lived in area all my life and have experienced all locations.

I’ll help co-host and maybe we can see if we can get some of these Prevost folks here to assist with some of the tasks like parking.

I hope we can get a good turnout of Prevost Community members to this rally and thanks to Bob it sounds like we are going to have a great spot to park and party.
I do have to make a confession to those PC members that do not go on some of the other bus sites. It seems we Prevost owners are viewed as rich stuck up folks so I have not only failed to correct that impression I might have added to it.
I have posted we are so stuck up, that for example I won’t even talk to myself. I have made it clear that we all are so rich that we drive around with bales of Benjamins in the bays. I add to the image by making it understood we don’t work on our coaches because we have our people work on our coaches. You get the idea.
Now I know we have crossover from this site to others. A number of our members also participate on the other forums and as Prevost owners they never refute my comments when I let folks know how stuck up, rich and lazy we Prevost owner are so if we end up all getting parked next to the garbage bin you will know why.
OK, enough BS………..We all get along and just like on this site teasing is part of what we do. If you can make it to this rally we are all going to be parked together and you are going to meet some neat guys with lots of coach experience who can swap tales with us. It is going to be fun so plan on coming.
BTW, the site that we are partnering with is owned by Scott Crosby and it is an invitation only site. I have invited their members to join and take advantage of our discount programs and if you like buses, especially some of the older GM buses and Scenicruisers you will enjoy Bus Grease Monkey. If you wish access Bob or I can send the invitation so let either of us know.

Thanks, for making the arrangements for any of us so inclined to attend. Carole and I are also planning to attend the Solar Eclipse ahead of Evansville. I have not lived there all my life as Bob has, I have lived and worked in Evansville for three years 1979-1981 as Program Manager for the City of Evansville while a contractor built their first areawide computer controlled signal system. The City is just now updating the system so my team must have done a good job on the inspections. I’ve only been back once, when Air Force 1 needed to check systems installed in Sevierville in 2007. I stopped by on my way back from the Open at Torrey Pines in 2008. I’m looking forward to visiting again and maybe arranging a showing of the new system.

Cmon guys, lets get a good turnout for Prevost Community. We will definitely see some really neat older buses, both restored seated coaches and conversions.

We’re n for the “Bob” party if we can make it in time. We’re also one of the Driggs guys followed by Denver, Santa Fe, and Springfield Mo for a slide out starting 9/5 and hoping no longer than a week there. So thinking we will make it.

We have area reserved and paid for. Shelter house for sat sun and monday evenings–we can extend. Their camoground has a few sites coach friendly 16 18 20 22 23 24 25 26 27 28..weekly 120 —62 and over 80 a week. or the main parking lot etc free(donation )to youth program. Bob Will start a new thread as info becomes available.

We paln on being there. Will be coming from points west and arrive on the 22nd. Would like to stay over after the event for a while, before heading to TN.
