Semi-urgent suspension advice needed
I am leaving for a trip in 10 days. I always thought I had some sort of leak that was affecting leveling the coach, but it also seems to be affecting ride height. The problem seems intermittent. A couple weeks ago I could level the coach and hold for days. Now the right rear will come down very quickly, like an inch every 10 seconds or less. The left rear will come down but much slower. It’s a big enough leak that when not in level-low, the air leveling valves and engine compressor cannot provide enough air to keep the right side high enough (is down about an inch lower than the left).
The leaky leveling while parked has been intermittent in the past, and I did not realize the degree of the problem while driving. However, now it seems to be fully “stuck” in this leaky mode. I can hear a big leak coming from probably in front of the right drive wheels (or it could be an air bag near there).
Just getting the coach raised up to get jack stands under it is now a challenge. I can drive on some boards to get a it a bit higher, but I can’t really rely on raising via level-low to get a couple stands under there. I do have a jack, but right now I am parked on dirt, as my new driveway is being installed. I feel like the walls are closing in here and I am screwed.
I am wondering if maybe a norgren on the bulkhead in front of the drive wheels might be busted. Is there a way to get access to those without going under the coach? Does removing the drive wheels provide some access?
Also, not sure that it’s related, but if I do engage the tag lift, the entire rear drops like a rock. I am honestly wondering if someone totally screwed up the air lines and valves on this coach.
Because of the driveway situation, I don’t think I can get to Prevost before my trip. Any advice to diagnose this problem or get better access safely would be appreciated.
Thanks
