When buying a used coach nothing is cast in stone.
Clearly if you buy from an individual you can expect to be on you own with respect to repairs or inspections. Having said that if the inspection shows an unanticipated problem that might re=open price negotiations, but unless you have the owner willing to do repairs or provide a service on the coach the costs are yours to bear.
Buying from a dealer, especially one with on site service or access to service a PDI is negotiable. My concern however is you lose control of the inspection unless it is done by a disinterested third party who is highly qualified on Prevost coaches and that particular conversion. Dealers generally go over a coach because when showing coaches they know minor issues become a topic of conversation and they want to show “no issue” coaches. That is not always true, but the dealers who have a long track record of dealing with Prevost coaches typically have gone through the coach.
Dealing with the converter that built the coach is going to provide you with a coach that has been inspected to their standards and unless they make it clear otherwise they will tend to stand behind the coach for a while and will allow you to live in the coach on site to insure you understand the coach, are trained, and if any issues are found they will often deal with them on the spot.
Do not interpret the above as being for or against a purchase from a private seller, a dealer or a converter. I have done all three and all three turned out very well. I will say buying my current coach from the converter was the easiest because everything was taken care of before I arrived to pick it up.
Regardless of who or how you buy the coach I would strongly suggest you do your own inspection and if required get help. Your inspection also becomes the training. Too often we see posts from new owners who have a problem they are going to have to pay for out of their own pocket, and it could have been identified before money changed hands if they had taken the time to do a detailed inspection.
