Scan gauge
i just a purchased a 1995 xl45 country coach. Is there a engine diagnostic port in the drivers area. And if so any ideas which type port it would be? I have a 2000 mile commute home, and being a gauge junky I would like to be able to monitor the engine with the scan gauge.

Under the dash, left side under the key, or it might be on the side near the tag lift or parking brake area.
Instead of monitoring gauges it might be a good idea to monitor the road, especially other drivers because they are out to get us (or maybe it just seems so)

The scan gauge works great and with all the various settings you can select 4 gauges to easily monitor as part of your instrument scan. Further, the digital readouts are much better than looking at a needle gauge for accuracy.
Jon can’t see the gauges anyway, he’s asleep most of the time and Di carries a big fly swatter and whacks him when he dozes off.

I love my scanguage . Like Tom said 4 readings . I like to set them Oil temp,Water temp ,voltage and Trans temp. In the hills I switch voltage to RPM s so i can keep a eye out on jake brake . I also agree with Jon that we really need to focus on the road, so less is more when it comes to gadgets. After all we do have alarms .
