San Francisco
Any suggestions on a place to stay near San Francisco? Our current schedule has us there mid February so far Candlestick park is what we have found so far…

We are fans of Marin RV Park in Larkspur. Location is awesome. Walk to ferry, great restaurants, and good shopping close by. We spend every September there. Clean park and safe. Sites are narrow and gravel. We get two sites and have plenty of room.

the Larkspur Landing rv campground also has a sister park about 20 minutes north in Novato. Right off the highway,very clean and PROFESSIONALLY managed.Have stayed at both.The Novato location is a great jump off to wine country and the beaches. Just don’t travel in pm rush hour traffic if you can help it!!!

Went to SF in 2012. I had a place picked out for the coach that was make do since I was working for a week. We used Candlestick Park as a General Admission lot with shuttles to the venue. The campground is across the street from Candlestick. Neighborhood, well not too good if you know what I mean. It would have to be a last resort (no pun intended) for us to stay there.
As it turned out, our coach was very accommodating and blew the engine after only 245 miles on an in chassis rebuild as we were starting out on our journey. Ran the toad in three consecutive segments of 750 miles, 850 miles, and the last one a 1,000 mile biggie. Longest seat time ever for me. The toad, a 2003 Ram 2500, and yes it has a Hemi! Very interesting trip, unlike anything we had planned on.
Good luck finding a site. Marin County sounds pretty good.

I would have to agree for sure. Kind of like West Memphis, nice place to visit, but you would not want to stay there.

Thanks for suggesting Marin in Larkspur… we just left this morning and had a great visit to SFO… They weren’t very busy and just let us take two spaces which was great. The kids loved taking the ferry in. We found a fairground outside Yosemite in Maraposa so were hanging out here for a couple of nights anyways…
