San Diego and LA
Hi Everyone
I met my first two PC members in person…. Sid and Al all in the same week at MCC indio….
We are looking for suggestions for resorts in San Diego and LA areas… we have about 20 days to burn early March….

Carole and I spent a couple weeks at the RV park in Chula Vista. Its about 25 minutes south of San Diego which also means about 5 miles north of the border. This was back in 2008 in June so this is not a current recommendation. The park is OK and is part of a “brownfield” development. It was just getting under way in 2008. Check out Google Earth for an aerial view that would be more current.

For a nice, central location in San Diego, it’s hard to beat Admiral Baker Field. The military campground has recently been opened to the public. It’s off Friers Road, near the stadium and located on a golf course.

Chula Vista Rv resort is best choice in San Diego area in my opinion. It is a great park. You will enjoy it. We have spent month of June there for past 5 years. Yet to find any place that excites me in LA area. We normally leave Chula Vista Rv resort and head to Ocean Mesa Rv resort outside Santa Barbara. Other favorites of ours include carmel by the River Rv park in Carmel and Marin Rv park outside San Francisco. Hope this helps.
