    San Carlos

    Getting gutsy and thinking of heading to San Carlos, Mx next winter. Have taken the old CC to Rocky Point a few times, but only 60miles south of boarder. Road to San Carlos is supposed to be fine, and good recs on the RV park down there. Concerned only if breakdown. Anybody made the trip recently?

    Nope,

    But lived in Tucson 14-years and from my experience along the SW border and traveling to Rocky Point prior to 9/11, if you break down, take your tow vehicle & get the heck out of there since your safety would be an issue.

    Personally, I’ve seen all I want to see of Mexico, but then again, there are those who don’t think twice about traveling down there.
