RV park in shreveport LA
Hi all, anyone have any suggestion on an RV park in Shreveport
LA area? We will be staying there one night and on the Amarillo TX. this coming
Saturday. Looking at the map there is the Casino off I-20 is that place
recommended? -

In Amarrilo we alwys stay at Oasis RV Resort. They have great pull thrus and it’s all paved ask for #162-#164 you will like them the best.

The Greenwood La ., T/A Truckstop has an rv park adjacent to it. Its. right off I-20. We stayed overnight last month on the way to Henderson/Lafayette Louisiana Exit I-20 at Greenwood Rd and follow signs to RV Park. It’s very inexpensive for 50 amp water/sewer and cable, but you will what we call ” over coach the párk” , you will be the biggest $$$$ there. Nice people, tho

The Shreveport RV Park I think you mean is called Diamond Jack’s and isn’t bad concrete pads and good power… fairly small but pretty good access… If you’re looking for good food while there go over to the Horseshoe Casino and try The Steakhouse it’s really good… we eat there every time we go to Shreveport. Also it’s just a couple of blocks from Diamond Jack’s.

I second Sid’s Amarillo choice. We have stayed at Oasis several times. Easy in and out, and very inexpensive.

Thanks all for the info, We will stay at
the Greenwood TA park on Saturday and on to Amarillo Oasis on Sunday from there
we will be going west on I-40 to CA 58, I-5 to Sacramento.We will be try to find
Parks using Allstays App to help us along, any additional feed on other parks
on I-40 to Bakersfield CA would be great. I do like to go about 400 miles
a day, I would like to get to Sacramento before the end of the year, my wife
said she would like to do only 250-300 miles a day!!! not going to happened. -
A nice secure dry camp spot is a Twin Arrows Casino, 18 miles east of Flagstaff. We have stayed ther coming and going five tines since last November. Just don’t park where signs direct you to rv parking with trucks. Plenty of paved areas to choose. It’s free and patrolled. Also further down the road is the Needles Ca KOA

From 100miles East of Flagstaff all the way to Kingman, be prepared to have your teeth rattled on I 40–really bad road.

Are the state highway resurfacing the road on I40. I have
never had a problem on that road before always smooth.
