Royale Interior Upgrade
Am about to recover the sofa and complementing trim. Am trying to figure out how to replace the window edge trim. Can’t find any staples. Has anyone accomplished this?

Try Royale Phoenix in Elkhart, In. These guys worked for Royale before Monaco and have all info and engineering of these coaches. 574-206-1216. Paul.

Just a guess Brian, remove the light and see if the panel is fastened there.

I had contacted Royale Phoenix and hadn’t received an answer. They finally contacted me with the info that there are screws cleverly hidden behind the window edge light strip (tivoli lights to some). All is well. Dale, thanks for your suggestion also.

I have recently redone all my interior trim like in your picture…
Our coach is a ’98 Vantare so the installation may or may not be the same….Once you remove the light have a look inside with a flash light and you should see what I describe below, that it is separate panels… the outer panel covers the screws that hold the main panel with the upholstered sides that you want to redo.
The center fabric panel is separate from the side trim which is attached to the window frame and on my coach the solid top panel is attached with velcro and nylon snaps and has to be pulled off which requires a heavy duty tug to get it off a little at a time… you have to be pretty aggressive so go slowly so it doesn’t break…then the rear panel that has the upholstered sides is screwed to the frame and easly removed so you can replace the fabric.
Once the first one is off the rest are easy I only had lights on two of them.. one on each side of the coach which I also replaced since I was redoing it all.

Okay, so we’ve figured out how to get it apart, now the hard part comes (for us at least). Anyone know of a good interior decorator? We’ve got some theme ideas but we’re spending way too much time trying to pick out individual fabrics etc. More than, “what looks good on the sofa” there are questions about what goes good with what.
What did we get ourselves into??

If anyone wants ideas for updating a coach there is no better way to get ideas than by looking at coach ads. Yes looking at the listings on this site is a good start, but I would go further. Go to the web sites of all the advertisers here on PC and look at their entire inventory. Not all of the available coaches are listed here.
I must warn you that (speaking from recent experience) you may find a coach you like a whole lot, and next thing you will be buying a new one instead of upgrading your existing one.

No worry Tom. I started here and must say I like your
standardized slide show better than most. Bob is right about one
thing…. looking at the ads is probably the best way to get inspiration
and to see “what works”. We also contacted Rhonda Bennett at
California Coach Sales. Rhonda really has a good eye for colors and
accents that show a bus to it’s best advantage. She gave Beverly some
advice that makes very good sense. Corey & George, thanks for the
offer. We’re on the west coast but if we have specific questions will
give you a call.
Not likely Jon. Have spent the last 3 years getting this coach in the mechanical shape it now enjoys. Much easier to do a little interior sprucing up than starting all over again. I might consider it though if you’d send me a blank check.
