Roof Airs Leaking Water into coach
I know this is more of a general RV issue, but thought I would see if someone has dealt with it here. I have 4 roof airs (Carrier V) that are pretty old. For years, if I had water drip inside when they are running, I would go on top, take a cover off, blow out any leaves, etc and it would stop dripping inside.
In the past month and a half being in Florida, I now seem to have two of the units that are dripping irregardless of my cleaning. It only happens when running (not when raining) so it is the drainage system that is failing me. I don’t have any drain tubes or the like in this particular system, the water travels down a channel to the frame then out onto the roof.
I am wondering if the seals are just getting so old that they are failing and water is coming back through them into the coach. Has anyone chased this issue and have advice? I have never removed a unit but understand it is not too difficult. Maybe I should remove one and check the seal then possibly replace? Trying to maximize the life of the units so not looking to replace them if I can help it.

Mike! All the roof AC’s sit on a thick rubber seal around 5/8 thick or so, In time the weight of the unit and age that seal gets compressed so it gets loose, so you need to tighten up the seal. From inside the bus on the ceiling you need to find the air intake,under eachAC, and the unit’s are held on with 4 long bolts anywhere from 6 to 10 inch long bolts. all AC’s are mounted the same way with 4 bolts. You might have ducted so youwill need to expose them, then tighten them up, don’t over do them.

Clean all top ac drain lines with compressed air only. All my leaks are gone.

I tightened the four bolts as Art suggested and leaking stopped. That was my issue. I continue to clean drains.
