Got 4 rivets in each pair of my jeans, I know that because I had to wear a pair today. It’s very cold here- 52 !

And, Jon to rebut your call for us to buy an X-345, we won’t. Aesthetically from a side profile, I don’t care visually for the proportions of the 45 foot coach with a longer wheelbase, with the ” stubby” tail overhang. Our 40 has the same tail-swing, so we’ll keep it until we find the perfect riveted 1998-99 XL45 coach

Jim & Chris, almost sounds like you should have bought our 2000 CC. It would have been a good start i.e. 10 unblocked windows, RIVETS and side aisle. Our H just gets better and better. Just found out that the Aqua-Hot, fridge and engine were replaced in 2011. Jon, why do have this picture in my head of Di in a snowmobile suit and you in wifebeater over the computer ?

Our floorplan in our RIVETED coach, has the aisle on the far driverside, with the bathroom as it own room. A side aisle I am wishing for allows transit from bedroom to kitchen without passing thru, but by the bath. Its a great plan especially when we have Chris’ mom along. She can be in the bathroom in the morning, and we can go to the kitchen without intruding,.
This floorplan was more common in the early to mid 90’s but has almost disappeared today. There are some Marathon coaches with rivets out there that have this plan. Newer Marathons that have the bunkbed/mid aisle closet, have a pair of pocket doors that close off the bath from the hall, That floorplan would work, too, but we would have to upgrade to a non riveted glued coach or an H.

Di and I are now in Galveston enjoying a heat wave of 42 degrees with a wind strong enough to blow the face off a dog.
Even the water in the bay is shivering.
But the sun is shining, it has temps on the plus side of zero, and while we aren’t planning on pulling out the lawn chairs, the coach is toasty with the sun shining in. When we say we are chilling out, we mean it.

I really feel sorry for you guys. It was -13 at 1:30 PM here today. Last couple of nights it was -25 to -27 with a stiff wind. Wind chill values were about -55. Almost cold enough to pop RIVETS off. (had to stay on topic)
42 above would feel like summer. Come to think of it..that is a typical summer day with the wind howling off Lake Superior. Never mind.

Air temps today right now 41. Barn temp 67, and I am polishing rivets. We will be leaving for Arizona. We were -10 last weekend.
Hey Jon, maybe Prevost woul build us an XLV 1. Surely they still have build sheets for Rivet equipped bus. .-))
I really don’t want to experience “delam” again. Our 2002 stainless Marathon (’01 shell) experienced loose panels back in2003 before it was in vogue
