  • Ride height valves

Posted by Peter on December 31, 2014 at 8:05 pm

If your coach is over ten years old , we put in new ride height valves and old ones were full of crap but worked good put new ones in , three in all , could have been bad news going down the road , could have got plugged up , glad we changed them out and new comp fittings !!!! So there are something’s you do not need to do right away but that is not one of them , just a heads up to some of the coaches that are over ten years old,

We have been at Provost Nashville since Monday and they just wrapped up the same remedy for us. Good advise to follow.

Safe travels and a great New Year to all of you.

Unless you are fully confident your pneumatic systems have never been contaminated with teflon tape, moisture, thread dope or corrosion it is not a bad idea to do some preventive maintenance in the form of replacement of all suspension valves, and especially if you have to deal with leaks, which are more than likely from the push in fittings. I arbitrarily have picked 10 years as when I throw all my Norgrens, air bags, and push in fittings away just so I do not have to deal with the little problems sure to arise.

Tommie, enjoyed meeting you and sorry to hear about your suspension leak.

I am sending you an email. You guys in Lafayette sure know how to get great food. Absolutely wonderful gumbo.
