Replacing O Ring on 50 DN back plate.
Suggestions as What to use as sealant for O Ring when installing new O Ring on back plate 50 DN.

I didn’t use any sealant on mine, caution do not over torque

I used Permatex Ultra Black gasket maker, in addition to the gasket. I put a very thin coat on both sides of the gasket and torqued them to spec. That was 7 yrs ago. I haven’t had a trace of oil since. Make sure not to over tighten as you can crack the collar.

On my Royale I got rid of that 50DN completely. No more leaks to deal with. My buddy designed the bracket for his Wanderlodge, he’s now selling them as part of a kit which includes everything you need to delete the 50DN.
