  • Replacing Freedom Model 25s

Posted by Rodney on July 29, 2015 at 11:55 am

I need to replace my Freedom Model 25s. They were put into service in 1990. Could you tell me what you replaced your Freedom Model 25s with if you have gone through this process?

I’m at a customer site this week so email is the best way to contact me if you don’t want to post here. rcookbus@gmail.com.

    thanks

On my old Marathon, I went with prosine but I wouldn’t now. I converted my current coach to Outbacks and I’m extremely pleased with both perforance, ease of service, and support. As I recall, however, they may require some reconfiguration of your mounting positions on your vintage Marathon.

We replaced ours with Magnum MS-2812’s. Approx. same inverter footprint, used same wiring for remotes and the remotes fit in same panel cut outs as the Freedom 25 remotes. We’re veryt satisfied with the inverters, and will add the Magnum AGS module in the next month or so.

There is a pdf file with info about replacing Freedom 25’s on Magnum Energy website:

Magnum claims to have the most direct replacement. Their website has the information replacements for the Freedoms.

I put two new magnums in and the panels Jeff did it a little wiring and new panels fit right in old hole all great , my sub zero fridge did not like the old ones they really like the magnums never a problem since then, and if the watch dog ever craps out or I need a new Kohler gen it can be wired to run off the magnum panels also, sweet
