  • Replacement Hub Cover

Posted by Sam on May 12, 2016 at 10:58 am

The front, driver side hub cover assembly on my 1996 Liberty conversion recently went missing. It is hard to imagine that it simply fell off. In any event, I need to find a replacement, or purchase a matching set of covers for each side. Does anyone know where I might find such a part? Thanks for any tips/help! Below are photos of the missing driver’s side, and the intact passenger side front wheel hub covers….

    Sam,

This is the closest I have found for the spin-off type axle covers.

Thanks, Charles! That looks like exactly what I need!

I searched the Internet off and on over several days, and totally missed that site!

I just ordered a front hub cover replacement assembly. I cant remember the exact cost, and haven’t yet receved my emailed receipt, but I think it was about $127.

    Sam,

Unless you removed the bolts from the two empty holes in the hub cover, it probably did fall off. Those two holes are where the attachemnt frame bolt on. The spinner is then held on by the allen bolt screwed to the attachment frame. Hard to believe it simply fell off but then Ripley’s is full of difficult to believe happenings.

Bjorn Cannon was the sales person I worked with to get a replacement hub cover back in 2007. Mine got knocked off at a toll booth on the West Virginia Turnpike. Long story, need a campfire to tell it. BTW, those covers are really difficult to get off after smashing it on the concrete curb.
