Remote Temperature Viewing and or Alarm
We just returned to Naples from a 10 days trip to Mexico and on the flight home, I was thinking I hope the bus is ok. I was remembering the fiasco of a couple of years ago, when I returned to the bus to find out that there had been a power outage and everything inside the fridge had gone bad and stank to heaven forcing me to replace it and “air out” the bus for almost a week.
Anyways, does anyone use some kind of a monitoring device and if so, what is it?

Since an alarm that sends a message to your cell phone alerts to a problem that is 1/2 of the concern.
The other half is if you are halfway around the world when a problem occurs you have to have someone that can access your coach with all your personal items in it, and that someone then has to be willing to assume the responsibility to hire someone qualified to diagnose and fix the problem.
I know a lot of Prevost owners have “their people” take care of the coach and monitor it, but it is not like a lot of technical people can drop what they are doing in their shop to run to a bus to fix it when the electric goes off or the heat quits, or the slides are leaking and rainwater is getting in creating mold.

That’s a valid point Jon. A real backup plan goes beyond the monitoring device. Being miles away means a breathing human being correcting the problem.

If I have to leave mine I turn on the autostart and have a cheap indoor security camera running on wi-if and shows a picture of my electrical panel so I can watch all the parameters. The camera and Jetpack is plugged into one of my inverter circuits. Can all of that go to hell, yes, but it’s working well.

Jon’s comment about an alarm being only the first step.
My thoughts are about knowing there is a problem. Then I figure out how to solve it.
I like the Bluestream and have ordered one.
Tom suggestion about a camera will be implemented as well because I have a couple of them laying around.
