  • Remote cabin temp and humidity plus power monitori

Posted by Roscoeapproved on February 19, 2017 at 11:56 am

I have read a bunch of threads about leaving pets in our coaches unattended. Although we try not to make a regular practice of this there are occasions when we do. I believe some of the newer coaches are set up to communicate remotely with owners via Sat link to alert them if there is a power outage or the like. Coaches of our vintage are not as sophisticated.

After a bunch of research of many different remote monitoring units we settled on this one called Marcell available through Amazon or Sensored Life Llc. We chose it for its simplicity, cost and its operation via its own cell line. There is no need for an internet connection or land line. You simply set your temp and humidity parameters and it notifies you via email or text immediately if conditions fall outside of your chosen parameters. It also notifies you immediately if AC power is lost. Just log into their website and see daily weekly or monthly logs of conditions or get instant updates of actual conditions. VERY VERY simple to set up and use. The cost is $250 for the unit with free shipping and $8.99 per month for service. If you want partial year service its a couple bucks more per month. We have been very happy with this unit. It provides great peice of mind for those with pets or that store their bus away from home .

Sorry I could not provide a link. I couldn’t figure out how to do so. I did a search on PC to see if there was any discussion about these but came up empty so decided to post my findings. Jeff

Thanks Jon or Tom. Right! Yet another reason you can justify those obscene dues fees.

    Jeff,

Keep making good posts like the above and we will consider cutting your dues in half.
