Remodel Complete
Posted by Archived on August 22, 2018 at 9:55 pmWe got our remodeling finished today at ETLC and Jeff sent us on our way. Happy to get the bus back home in the garage.
There are a few tweaks we will need next week on the Crestron iPad update and we still have a couple of items on our wish list. Waiting on some parts.
After all the extensive zeroing out and upgrades, I think we have the only 2018 Country Coach XLII.

Really like your driver seat & couch. Looks like the guys did their normal outstanding job!! Time to enjoy it now & make the big wheels go ‘round & ‘round heading down the road!! Looking forward to seeing the whole thing in Oct at the Seminar.

The iPad update for the Crestron system came out nice on the dash.

Two iPads on the dash? Co-Pilot’s removable? What is to the left of the drivers iPad? Navigation/GPS/AM/FM/XM machine? What kind?
Do you have a picture of what the dash looked like before Jeff’s guys got their hands on it?
-
Dick, the driver’s iPad is removable so we can use it in the salon (better named saloon). The large passenger’s iPad is not removable and is hard-wired so that if the WiFi goes down, we still have Crestron control. We have a second removable iPad in the bedroom
To the left of the driver’s iPad is the Kenwood head unit for the radio, Garmin GPS, streaming apps, etc. It is independent of the Crestron system.
The dash arrangement has not changed other than replacing the small 12 year old Crestron pad for the driver and replacing the 12 year old touch screen passenger monitor with the big iPad. Jeff’s guys did a great job making the surrounds and mounts look factory original.
You ought to see what they did to the mid-aisle walk-in wardrobe. It is completely reconfigured for the dog crates with new cabinets, drawers and ventilation.

Very impressive. Did Jeff’s guys fab the dog kennels? or were those off the shelf type kennels?
-
The Impact kennels are high quality off the shelf.
The entire design was driven by them. Everything else you see is custom. The walk-in wardrobe was gutted. The original drawers and cabinets were very shallow. Now we have much more usable storage with deep drawers/cabinets. Jeff made the back of the cabinets removable to facilitate any needed slide mechanism adjustment. Should adjustments or repairs ever be needed, Jeff knows we will be taking the bus back to him!
The nice thing is that you can’t tell it from original. If we remove the dog crates, no one would be the wiser.
